This glorious confection, based on the Doge’s Palace in Venice, was indeed a carpet factory when built in 1892. Now a boring old business centre, its still a visual delight and a Glasgow landmark.

A beautiful bit of architecture. You are fortunate it hasn’t been knocked down and replaced with a modern day monstrosity.
wow!… wish I’d got round to seeing more of Glasgow when i lived there… never got over to that end of town at all… Though I do recall covering some few miles on foot now and then.
