Bizarre Bulletins: Fake ‘Dominatrix’ Lures Slaves for Farm Work

A new occasional feature that I’ll put on the sidebar in the future. Just wanted to get your attention for the first one. From Der Spiegel (English language version and a damn fine newspaper), this is a story about an enterprising young woman who monetized both ends of the service she offered. Der Spiegel is also a partner in presenting the Edward Snowden documents.

Just think of the possibilities. Why have that full-sized hamster wheel, with your gentleman inside, spinning uselessly? Wire it up to generate electricity! And you could divert some to give an extra frisson to the client. Value added is the way to go.

Capitalism at work and play. I like the article for the splendid photo of a cow and wry reporting. Who says Germans have no sense of humour?
