Postcard Poem: Mathair

The poems on these postcards are all by writers who live or lived in Scotland. They were produced for National Poetry Day in Scotland, which occurs in early October each year. The cards are distributed free to schools and public libraries. I think it’s a brilliant idea, and will be posting a card every week until they run out.

  1. Wonderful poem – I’m learning Irish Gaelic so I could pick out a few words… and with the translation below I got the rest of it. I think the national poetry day is a great idea
