Visual Library Catalogue: A Brief Survey of British History

In a sense, it is like entering another world to take on the assumptions behind what were once considered historical certainties. This one is from 1929, sufficiently modern to have reconsidered some of the Victorian certainties, but still saddled with Empire, and perplexed by the Great War. Which they considered to be the last world war. If only.
