TED Talks: Michael Huemer on the irrationality of politics

A no-brainer, right? Michael Huemer, professor of philosophy at the University of Colorado, Boulder, goes bit deeper than the received wisdom that politicians are self-serving dunderheads. As well as giving glaring examples from each end of the political spectrum, he points out that irrationality is alive and well among voters, and shows us the warning signs. Huemer also has a theory about why politicians are irrational.
